Have you ever stayed at Beechworth? I’d never been there before & we were only going to ‘check it out’ on our way through, but being the last night of our holidays & in keeping with my holiday random night theory, I whipped out the iPad & started searching for somewhere interesting, all the while entertaining Mr. HG about some of the cool random night accommodation Mom & I have had on our travels & the funny stories that always come from the experience of choosing somewhere different straight off the net. And, then I found it…., it sounded amazing, so amazing I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t know about this place before.
This was the last day of our holidays, a week of tripping from wine region to wine region, sipping superb wines, dining in award winning restaurants and staying in heritage listed buildings that had been refurbished and bought back to life. Beechworth is a town famous for it’s talented foodie folk, carefully restored colonial buildings, its 19th century streets showcasing an eclectic mix of galleries, collectables, handcrafts, old pubs, cafes, provedores, restaurants and a whole bunch more, & if that’s not enough for you folks, Beechworth promised a Brewery, a famous Bakery & Bees that make the most delicious honey.
